PET OF THE WEEK

Sunnie is a two year old spayed female Chihuahua-Terrier mix that weighs 18 pounds.  She has a shining personality, very active and playful, loves to fetch a ball or frisbee and to go on walks.   Sunnie is good with other dogs and would do well with another young active dog.  She has not had any formal obedience training however she would enjoy and benefit from obedience classes.  Sunnie would do best in a home that is committed to obedience training and excersise because she is active.  The ideal home for Sunnie will have a fenced in yard and a home with children over the age of 14.

Leo is an happy Labrador Retriever mix who is about 1 year old. He is about 50 pounds, up to date on shots, neutered and house trained.  Leo came into rescue as a hard luck case at a local vet's office. He had been hit by a car and brought in by animal control. He had injuries to his leg and hip but he healed nicely with restricted activity and crate rest. Leo also had hearworm and lyme disease but has also been treated successfully for those diseases. Now fully recovered with a clean bill of health from his veterinarian, Leo is ready for is forever home.

As you can see from his pictures, his tail doesn't stop wagging. He is eager to please and has a loving temperament. Leo is a bit of an escape artist so a home with a securely fenced yard is required. Leo would do best in a home where someone is home or has a flexible work schedule so that he is not left for more than 4 or 5 hours at a time. His home must also be committed to crating Leo when he is left along to keep him out of trouble. Leo has been through alot in his short life and he is ready for his second chance at a loving and committed forever home. In return, Leo will provide years of love and devotion. Please apply today.

Lance is a 3 year old, domestic short/medium hair cat. He's very sweet and handsome. He's very shy and needs some time to warm up to people. He would do best in a adult only household.

Mac is a 3 year old neutered male orange tabby. Mac weighs 15 pounds and loves to be petted, scratched, and paid attention to once he comes to know you. Mac is not a lap kitty but does like to be beside you on the couch He would like a home without small children or dogs. A home with other cats would be great as he is a gentle soul and use to other cats.

Libby is a very lovable seven year old spayed female foxhound mix. She weighs about 60 pounds. Libby loves people and very good with children. She also enjoys long walks, playing in the snow and car rides. She is good with other dogs, however she is not good with cats. Libby has had some obedience training but would love going for more since she loves to socialize and please her owner. Libby's new family needs to know that Libby requires a secure, fenced-in yard. If you're looking for a nice companion that loves to give doggie kisses and affection Libby's the dog for you.
