PET OF THE WEEK

Libby is a very lovable seven year old spayed female foxhound mix. She weighs about 55 pounds and loves people, long walks and car rides. She is good with other dogs but will do fine in a home as an only dog, however she is not good with cats. Libby has had some obedience training but would love going for more since she loves to socialize and please her owner. Libby's new family needs to know that Libby requires a secure, fenced-in yard and must be crated when no one is home since she can be an escape artist. Libby will make a nice companion to someone that loves dog kisses and affection from a sweet little girl.

Shadow is a happy, Lab/Greyhound mix who is about 18 months old and weighs 50 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on shots and completely house trained. Shadow is also crate trained.  Shadow is in need of a new home because his previous home simply didn't have enough time for him. Shadow is full of life and love. He is great with other dogs and fine with cats. Shadow is also good with children and  would make a wonderful addition to a family with time needed to commit to a pet. Shadow loves to play fetch and needs a fenced yard where he can play safely.

Quincy is a sweet, 8-year-old Poodle/Pekingese mix or "Peek-a-Poo". He weighs about 7 pounds, is up to date on shots, neutered and house trained.

Quincy is a victim of divorce. His daddy was very sad to say good bye to him but was not able to find a place to live where he could keep Quincy. His work hours also left Quincy alone for many hours each day. With APR's help, Quincy is searching for a new forever home. Quincy would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for that special love that only a canine companion can provide.

Teensy is an 20 month old spayed female and is a light colored Tiger, very dainty. She is a very nice girl.

Hi! My name is Bud. I have been looking for a home of my own for awhile. Everyone who meets me thinks I'm pretty sweet and can't understand why I don't have a home of my own yet but, I guess people can't see that on the Internet because no one seems interested in me. My foster home is great. They love me and give me lots of cuddling and keep me in the house which was a big change from my first home.

My foster mom and dad and the other dogs here have taught me great house manners and how to greet people with my tail wagging. No one is sure what my mom and dad were, maybe some Lab and maybe some Basset Hound. I'm not sure myself; all I know is that I'm a one of a kind kinda guy with alot of love to give to a family of my own. I'm kind of tired of being a foster kid, even though the people here are great to me; I'm just ready to settle down with a forever family.

Bud is approximately 5 years old. He is house trained, up to date on shots, neutered and eager to please. Please consider him for your new best friend.

Prince Albert is a 15-month old loving, playful, confident, and friendly bush-tailed Orange and White DMH male cat, who loves and gives lots of attention and "conversation". He should adapt easily in a home where he is not left alone for long periods of time, even with other pets and where he feels very much a part of your life.

Derek is a beautiful little neutered male Schnauzer/Poodle mix. Our vet estimates his age to be about 10 years and he weighs about 12.5 pounds.

Derek is a very sweet, adorable dog who gets along well with other dogs, though he is not playful with them. No cats please. His favorite things in life are going for walks, watching TV on the sofa, basking in a sunny area of the home (and eating!). Derek would make a wonderful companion dog for someone recently retired that loves to go for walks and is looking for a buddy to share time with.

Derek's beautiful coat will require grooming several times a year to keep him looking handsome. 

Peaches is a beautiful 20 month old Orange and White female cat. She is a little reserved but we believe she will come around with more individual attention. She watches intently as Little Bit and Rocky play.

Rosebud is a 3 year old spayed female domestic short hair. She has all sorts of colors in her fur and is a real beauty. She is playful with her string toys and very fond of treats. She loves to lie in the sun and loves to work on the computer with you. She would prefer to be the only cat in the home although she currently is ok and keeps her distance with two other cats in her foster home.
