Dear All Pets Rescue,

January of this year we had to put our 17 yr. old Golden Retriever/Spaniel down, I was devastated. My parents had him since before I was born so my sister and I grew up with him. We loved him so much...he was my parents' first dog - they had him since he was 4 months old.

I started thinking about getting a new dog about 3 months later. I mentioned getting another dog to my mother after I looked at the different breeds on the internet. She thought about it and decided that she was ready for another dog, so were my dad and sister!!

We searched on the internet for a puppy for our family for a few weeks. We decided that we weren't just going to pick one, we were going to find the right one. My mother and I went down to Petco in New Hampshire to see the Rotties. I was and still am particularly favored to Rotties. This is how we got in touch with my puppy's foster mom. She showed us Libby Lou, a rottweiler/black lab foster puppy that she had. We renamed the puppy Roshida. A member of the APR had to come check the house out and I was so happy when she showed up with Roshida!! She came in and talked with us all for a while and we decided that we wanted to adopt this puppy. She got along great with our 5 yr. old Doberman/Black Lab, Buddy! We got a call that we could come pick Roshida up that Sunday (a few days after she was spayed). I was soooo happy I started jumping up and down.

Since we've gotten Roshida I've been very happy. Roshida is such a loving and caring puppy. She learns so quickly I can't get over it!! She and Buddy play constantly, it's literally non-stop unless they're sleeping. She does an excellent job with commands that she's given!! I also can't get over what a deep bark she has, for a 5 month old female Rottie that is. She's going to dog obedience classes very soon and I'm sure she'll be one of the star pupils!! I'm so glad that APR chose us to be her family, thank you sooo much!!
