Dear All Pets Rescue,

I am writing to you with a long overdue update on Madison-aka Maddie.  Madison has blended seamlessly into my family, she really seems at home with us. I just don't know where to begin, she is such a special little dog. She is a Maltese mix/Lhasa mix, but as my vet says-whatever she is,  she's adorable.   Where ever we go people fall in love with her friendly disposition and cuteness. She is a very vocal dog and will have long conversations with me at times.  Very funny. We call her Lassie when she does this. Madison is also very growly in a friendly way. If you stop petting her she will growl to let you know you are not finished yet. She also growls at her toys to let them know she is the boss.

Madison gets along so well with my 2 year old cockapoo. They are both notorious toilet paper thieves. Madison makes her go in the backyard with her to run around (really, Madison barks at Trixie until Trixie gets up and goes out).  My cockapoo, Trixie, has lost a pound since Madison joined the family.  Madison loves everyone and everything-children, adults, repairmen, car rides,  walks, dog parks and the vet. She sits by the fence and waits for my neighbor's dog to come and see her. What a social girl.

Madison loves my two children and is so delighted to see them each morning.  Madison greets my daughter by licking her toes each morning. It really wakes her up. She sleeps in my bed with my dog Trixie and my husband and me.  Thank goodness it's a king size. My 8 year old daughter is so in love with Madison. Madison has been the subject of many of her school writing assignments.  I really wanted Madison so I could have a sweet little lap dog-she is everything I wanted and so much more. Most surprisingly is that she is my husband's sweet little lap dog too. Whenever I can't find her, she is usually cuddled up with him somewhere. Even my 14 year old son won't go to sleep until he tells her a special good night. She is the perfect combination of sweet and feisty for my family.

A special thank you to Blaine for driving all the way to my home with Madison and for overseeing the introduction of Trixie to Madison.  Blaine knew just what to do to make the introduction go smoothly. Thank you to Heidi for handling the application process-all my anxious e-mails. Thank you to Tana for fostering Madison. She is the sweetest most stable dog we know. I would never buy a dog from a breeder again now that I know about rescue organizations. You are very special people.

Very Sincerely,
Mark, Gerry, PJ and Brielle

PS- My daughter Brielle thought of the name Madison, we thought it fit her personality, strong and sweet.
