Dear All Pets Rescue,
We happily adopted Miss Lucy Jane (LUCY) after seeing her story on the All Pets Rescue
website. My husband and I both fell for her after reading her story of neglect...she was
hit by a car at her former owner's home and they did not obtain medical treatment to fix
her back leg. Consequently, Lucy had to have her leg amputated. When we visited her at the foster home, she quickly gave kisses to our 7 year
old son, but was very shy with us. We took her home and...Belle and Lucy quickly became
the best of friends and played all the time. Cosmo didn't seem to mind Lucy at all and
barely noticed she was in the house. (But) we faced one huge
challenge...getting Lucy to go on a leash . Lucy was petrified of anything hooked to her
and stood frozen if you tried. After one week of working with her daily, she has overcome
any fears she had and now happily wears a leash or lead while running around the back yard
chasing a ball . We are so happy that Lucy has joined our family and we know she will
teach us a lot about her life with three legs! Finally a loving home for her.
