It has been 1 year today that I adopted my wonderful Derek.  All I can say is that he is the most adorable, sweet, loving and awesome dog.  He has brought such happiness into my life and I adore him.

 

His life is quite comfortable.  He sleeps with me....has a cushion with a fleece blanket in the kitchen so he can watch my every move when I am there.  His favorite spot in the house is sitting on top of my picture window, of course on a fleece blanket. That way he watches the world go by and waits for me to come home. 

He loves riding in the car.  After our late afternoon walk he sends me a message by stopping by my car and looking up at my car.  At that point I grab my keys and away we go. I can on many occasions be seen just driving around the streets of Walpole with no distination in mind other than to just give my boy a ride.

 

He is wonderful with the cats and even more wonderful with my granddaughter.

 

I cannot tell you how much Derek is loved and pampered.  He has brought such light and happiness to me at a time when things seemed rather dark.  It has been a most wonderful year with him.
