Dear All Pets Rescue,
Brandy is getting so loving. She just adores Barry as does Duncan and she is so sweet.
Duncan is and always will be my heart dog. Guess because he was here first. I love them
both to pieces and if anything ever happens to either of them, I will absolutely be a
basket case but he is such a big teddy bear and so smart. She follows his lead.
Brandy will not go into the rec room with us at
night. We have been exasperated trying to figure it out. We keep coaxing her down and she
runs like the wind. Guess this is why I'm so sure my Duncan "thinks". Last night
we tried and she ran. He kept looking at her and barking softly, snapping his teeth. She
just sat there looking at him with her head cocked. He went over and picked up her
"purple thing" (favorite toy that he doesn't care for). Went to the rec room
steps and dropped it down. She ran down after it and ran upstairs. This went on for about
20 minutes. Finally, he took it down and put it on the couch and again snapped his teeth
and "talked" to her. For the first time ever, she came down, got up on the couch
and stayed. He sat down on the floor by her. He was the one who was finally able to get
her to "join us watching tv". She didn't do that on vacation but here she did.
Just couldn't figure it out.
Anyway, my smart Duncan managed to get her where we couldn't. He knows what you're saying
and what you want. The things he does, truly amazes us. She always follows his lead. If
she is ready to come in, she doesn't make a sound. He comes to the door &
"knocks" and I know they want in. I said when my Cubby died that I would never
again get as attached to any dog as I was to him. My heart was broken and I just knew I
could never again love an animal as much. Well, you see what happened with that theory.
These 2 totally have our hearts and I will be worse when their time comes. Hopefully that
won't be until they are very, very old. But they are almost human and without doubt, the
best dogs I ever had. They are smart, beautiful, so well mannered and just imagine. For
Brandy not originally being a house dog, she has never had an accident and has adapted
like it was natural to her. We could not have custom ordered any better dogs. We know that
our lives have been enriched by Duncan & Brandy. We wouldn't trade them for the world.
You can be assured that Brandy will always be loved and cared for. She will never be left
alone outside again. She'll be warm and safe and will be happy forever. They are our doll
babies and if more people could just open their hearts and homes to these orphaned
animals, they couldn't help but fall head over heels in love.
